After a long, nine-year journey, The Usos are headed to WrestleMania. Now, the challenge begins.

The SmackDown Tag Team Champions will be defending their titles against not one, but two tag teams just as hungry as Jimmy & Jey — The New Day, who traded victories with the twins over 2017’s already-legendary series between the tandems, and The Bludgeon Brothers, who have never competed at WrestleMania as a tag team but whose rebirth has already made them a force to be reckoned with on Team Blue.

The championship match first came about when The New Day won the right to once again challenge The Usos for the titles at WWE Fastlane. As that rivalry began to regain steam, Harper & Rowan waited in the wings until they finally struck during the edge-of-your-seat title bout, decimating both teams and sending Xavier Woods to the hospital. The Bludgeon Brothers continued their onslaught the next week, defeating the only medically cleared members of The Usos and New Day — Jimmy Uso and Big E — and using brute strength to position themselves for a title match.

Given that The Usos and The New Day have a grudge to settle against the behemoths (and each other), it’s now a matter every team for themselves, and this one may not come down to who hits what move so much as who is physically left standing when the dust finally settles.

Tune in to WrestleMania to see who leaves as SmackDown Tag Team Champions, streaming live Sunday, April 8, on the award-winning WWE Network at a special start time of 7 ET/5 PT!

One dubious ending, one bench-clearing rap battle, one stone-cold classic, one beatdown and one new theme song later, and The New Day and The Usos are headed for an epic Tag Team Title rubber match at The Biggest Event of the Summer.

Ya boys will once again face Jimmy & Jey Uso in Brooklyn, N.Y., this time putting their newly-won SmackDown Tag Team Championship on the line in a rematch of their wild WWE Battleground clash. That bout saw Xavier Woods put The New Day on his back to capture their first SmackDown tandem titles, and put the trio in the history books in more ways than one. The Usos weren’t remotely content to sit aside and allow the heartbreaking loss to stand, however. They jumped New Day on the first SmackDown LIVE after the title loss. The champs haven’t been seen since and now, as revealed in a WWE.com Exclusive by Cathy Kelley, the rematch has been sanctioned for SummerSlam.

All that’s left is for these two teams to go to the mat once again, and likely tear Brooklyn’s Barclays Center to the ground in the process. See what happens when The New Day and The Usos clash at SummerSlam, streaming live Sunday, Aug. 20 with a special start time of 7 ET/4 PT, on the award-winning WWE Network.

The SummerSlam Kickoff just got much bigger.

In a return match from Tuesday’s SmackDown Live, The Usos, American Alpha & The Hype Bros will meet Breezango, The Ascension & The Vaudevillains in a gigantic 12-Man Tag Team Match on Sunday’s Kickoff.

The six duos lit up the blue brand earlier this week with a jaw-dropping bout that ended in victory for The Usos, American Alpha & The Hype Bros after Jason Jordan & Chad Gable connected with Grand Amplitude against The Vaudevillains’ Aiden English. Now, the 12 Superstars gear up for round two at The Biggest Event of the Summer.

SmackDown Live’s dynamic Tag Team division goes head-to-head in a furious 12-Man Tag Team Match.

SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan previously indicated that the vacuum left by championships lost to Raw during the Brand Extension Draft — presumably, WWE Tag Team Titles included — will be filled in the not-too-distant future. Could a strong performance on the Kickoff put one or more teams in the catbird seat as Team Blue’s upper management contemplates plans for the Tag Team division?
