Mini Bio: Family. Family protects at all costs. They make sure that everyone at their table is fed. Jimmy and Jey both have that protector in Roman Reigns. Reigns is currently the Universal Champion and his family has rightfully named him the Tribal Chief or The Head of the Table. Reigns had to work hard to get his two cousins, The Usos, to fall in line. Jey fell in line fairly quickly, but when Jimmy returned, he was having none of that. He feels Roman let the title go to his head. The Usos alone are 7x Tag Team Champions and have been named Tag Team of the year. Jey even won the Andre The Giant Battle Royal. So when it comes to hard work, they aren’t afraid, but they accomplished it on their own.

Introduction: For The New Day, it was a reminder that they are one of, if not the, top threats of any division they compete in, as an early burst from ya boys led Gable & Benjamin to focus their efforts on The New Day while and Rusev & English isolated The Usos – there was a friendly submission competition of sorts between English and Chad Gable at one point – before coming to blows against each other.

Speaking of Rusev & English, it was a declarative statement that they’re more than an odd-couple tag team, as English played spoiler on multiple occasions when other teams were primed to win the contest, and Rusev — a vocal favorite of the WWE Universe in this match — nearly sealed the bout with an Accolade on Big E that the formidable Superstar was shockingly able to power his way out of.

WWE Smackdown Tag Team champions The Usos vs. New Day vs. Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin vs. Aiden English & Rusev

They have four competitors in the ring at the same time. It broke down quick with everyone brawling. Kingston was elevated over the top into a dive. Jimmy Uso followed up with another dive. Benjamin leapt to the top and nailed a superplex off the top on Jey. It tooked great. Big E broke up the pinfall and shoulderblocked Benjamin in the corner. Rusev started demolishing everyone. The crowd got really into that and chanted “Rusev Day.” It settled into Gable working over Kofi with an armbar while English worked over Uso. Having two sets of guys wrestling at the same time in the same ring was beyond distracting.

The Usos went for the superkicks on Gable and Benjamin but they were stopped. Gable locked in the Texas Cloverleaf on Uso. Kofi tried to dive into the ring but Benjamin caught and powerbombed him. English pulled Benjamin out and nailed him. English drilled Gable with a powerbomb and scored a close two count. Rusev tagged in and the place went nuts. He locked in the Accolade but Big E attacked Rusev from behind and sent him to the floor. New Day tried to set up for the Midnight Hour but English attacked Kofi. Rusev hit all his signature moves on E for near falls.

E locked the Accolade on E, who powered out to his feet. Gable grabbed Rusev and snatched him with a German suplex, then did the same to English. He hit the Doug Williams Chaos Theory on E, which looked awesome. Uso superkicked Gable. The other came off the top with a splash and they scored the pin.

Your winners and still WWE Smackdown Tag Team champions, The Usos!

Despite the distracting “dual matches” in the same ring, most of the big spots and most of the near falls got great reactions. They are onto something with Rusev. Usos are in a world of their own as a tag team. Entertaining.
